John Krysa, CRM, CIP is an Executive Consultant at Millican & Associates providing information and records management services to private sector organizations and Federal agencies. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Certified Records Managers. John retired from the FBI Senior Executive Service in 2012 as Section Chief for Records Automation where he was responsible for electronic records management programs, digital evidence scanning, and certification of IT systems for compliance with Federal laws and regulations. He also served as Program Management Executive for the Document Inventory Management and Control Program to inventory, implement disposition, and barcode 178 miles of records FBI-wide to reduce risk and ensure compliance. He previously served in the Pentagon as a Division Chief for Information Management on the Joint Staff, and then the office of the Secretary of Defense, responsible for records and information management programs. On the morning of 9/11/2001 he was in the Pentagon hosting a conference for Combatant Command Records Managers. He retired from the US Army as an Infantry Lt Colonel. His 40+ year professional career spans government, military and corporate sectors.
